LRWC was incorporated on October 10, 1957 and amended its primary purpose in 1999 to engage in realty development focusing on leisure business. The company extended its business to professional bingo gaming in October 1999 through its acquisition of AB Leisure Exponent, Inc. (ABLE) as its wholly owned subsidiary. In September 2005, LRWC acquired First Cagayan Leisure and Resort Corporation (FCLRC). FCLRC has an existing license agreement with the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) to develop, operate and conduct internet and gaming enterprises and facilities in the Cagayan Special Economic Zone Freeport (CSEZFP).
At the same time, FCLRC is also the Master Licensor for interactive gaming in CEZA, hence assists in licensing, monitoring and regulating all i-Gaming activities of gaming operators and entities located in the CSEZFP. In 2009, LRWC ventured into the casino segment with the establishment of Blue Chip Gaming and Leisure Corporation.
The group later expanded into the integrated resorts segment through AB Leisure Global, Inc. To further complete its array of gaming and leisure businesses, LRWC acquired majority shares in Midas Hotel and Casino in 2012.Since then, the company has established its expertise, solidified its position, and broadened its portfolio in the gaming sector.
